Downstairs in the Stable.  270 sq ft.

This thatched building is adjacent to the main cottage and was originally a stable. We designed the decor to still look like a stable and to use repurposed furniture and decor. It is a cosy place with underfloor heating. The Stable can be let separately by smaller groups. It has a soundproof lockable door to the main cottage and can sleep up to four people comfortably. Contact us to check availability. It has a hemp finished gable wall, a wall with a woodland mural and double patio doors that can be opened into the garden with two patio chairs and table outside. It has a stone wall with a stone stairs that lead up to the the loft which is the main sleeping area.

There is a comfortable sofa which we call the “nest”.  This is ideal for nestling in the cushions and bean bag while watching TV, reading a book or just looking out at the woodland. The nest can be made into a comfy king size bed. Contact us if you want us to make it up. There is a repurposed confession box which can be used for storage. The book shelf is made from a repurposed horse drawn spike harrow that was found under rubble when we were renovating the stable. There is a pull out swing seat which is ideal for reading a book and an antique glass display cabinet with interesting items that were found during renovations. Also a wall mounted TV. The downstairs bathroom is off this area.
