Booking Terms and Conditions for Maggyswood Stay in West Cork

1. Introduction

These Booking Terms and Conditions govern the rental of the cottage (“the Property”) located in West Cork. By booking the Property, you (“the Guest”) agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1. To secure a booking, full payment of the total rental cost is required at the time of booking.

2.2. Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or any other method agreed upon at the time of booking.

2.3. A booking is not confirmed until the full payment has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued by the Property owner.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1. Cancellations made more than 60 days before the arrival date will result in a 10% deduction of the total rental cost as a cancellation fee.

3.2. Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before the arrival date will result in a 50% deduction of the total rental cost.

3.3. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the arrival date will result in no refund.

3.4. Guests are encouraged to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may result in a cancellation.

4. Changes to Booking

4.1. Any changes to a booking must be communicated in writing and are subject to approval by the Property owner. 4.2. If a change is not possible, the original booking will remain in effect unless cancelled in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.

5. Check-in and Check-out

5.1. Check-in time is from 3:00 PM on the arrival date.

5.2. Check-out time is by 11:00 AM on the departure date.

5.3. Late check-outs may incur additional charges unless previously agreed upon in writing.

6. Occupancy and Use

6.1. The Property is to be used for vacation purposes only.

6.2. The maximum occupancy is 8 persons. Exceeding this limit may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.

6.3. The Guest must maintain the Property in good condition and is responsible for any damage caused during their stay.

6.4. No parties or events are allowed without prior written permission from the Property owner.

6.5  No hen parties, stag parties, or any similar gatherings are permitted.

7. Pets

7.1. Pets are allowed only if explicitly stated in the booking confirmation.

7.2. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they do not cause any damage to the Property.

8. Smoking

8.1. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Property.

8.2. Guests who smoke outside must properly dispose of cigarette butts and other waste.

9. Housekeeping

9.1. The Property will be cleaned before the Guest’s arrival.

9.2. Guests are expected to leave the Property in a reasonably clean and tidy condition upon departure.

9.3. Additional cleaning fees may be applied if the Property is left in an excessively dirty condition.

10. Liability

10.1. The Property owner is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises.

10.2. The Property owner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest.

10.3. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the Property.

11. Force Majeure

11.1. The Property owner is not liable for any loss, damage, or changes to the booking caused by events beyond their control, such as natural disasters, acts of God, or government regulations.

12. Governing Law

12.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland.

12.2. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.

13. Amendments

13.1. The Property owner reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Guests will be notified of any changes in advance.
